im having a huge problem with my ping in bf2.... ill play in any server and my ping is between 150-250..... this has got to stop.. well it talked to my ISP (which is optimum online) and he said just to restart my friken cable modem lol.... like that will help and like ive never done that before... if their anything i can do? any tweaks u guy know of because if ur a hardcore pc gamer like myself u know that the worst posible thing that can happen to you is high ping...... if this goes on for more than another week i will kill myself.. i dont know wtf it is, the day i got the game and about three weeks after it it has been fine, but about 5-6 weeks ago it jumped and now i cant enjoy playing it anymore...

if you/some one on your lan is d/ling anything, then shoot them in the face and unplug their computer. moreover, check to make sure no one on your lan is UPLOADING anything. my brother was running ares one day, had an upload going at like ~10kb/s and i had like 200 ping on CS. turned it off, back down to ~50 ping. thats with my >256 k DSL, dunno about you though.

    Try this...

Directly plug your modem into the wall.

And really try restarting your modem. Believe it or not, I have done it many of times it I leave it off for a minute, and it pretty much flushes itself out and its like a reformat of your computer.. (kind of)

And also if you are runnig a router try to directly plug your cable from your modem into your comp. Dont go through the router.

Or it may be the server and where it is located.

150ping? That's normal for me on AA... Anyway, make sure you dont have any spyware on your PC. Get a program which check's incoming and outcoming speeds. I.e.: If you have a constant 10kb up, you might have spyware on your pc...
