Got mine out about a year ago... Went in, got the sleep treatment as well. Woke up and thought they didnt start yet looked at a mirror and said "wow". My face was a ----ing chimpmunk... I got home and wanted a burger, but i got soup... what kinda joke is that ----! They told me to take tylenol, i said ---- off. I have the attitude of a tough guy, and believe men should not take pills to heal pain, everything should heal itself. Pain is a part of life... live with it. I stayed home for a couple days(hoping the swelling would go down before going back to school)... it did go down, but it still looked like i was hiding a ----ing tennis ball in each of my cheeks. I had soccer on Saturday(3 days after the operation), and i wanted to play. My parents refused to let me play, and the doctor instructed me not to... but i have NEVER missed a game, 7 years of playing, and i have played through concussions, pulled muscles, etc. So i told my parents they either drive me there, or ill walk... they drove, i played, i bled, it hurt, we won. I ate soup... stupid soup, for the next couple days, then i started eating soft-foods. The stitches in my mouth pissed me off so i pulled them out. And im here today.
I got mine done a couple years ago - I didn't even know they grew out and my dentist said it's better that I get em out so my teeth don't crowd.... sOoOoo... I chose the option to be awake during the surgery - which sucked, but at least I got to tell him that I needed more pain meds. I had surgery once b4 that and I woke up for a few seconds a little before they cut me open, so that's what made me want to get it while I was awake. After that, I didn't wanna do anything - it hurt like a mofo! I wanted more pain meds and it was just so awful, I didn't wanna ever do it again (thank goodness I got em all pulled).
dude its awsome cause afterwords they give you a hydrocodone(vicodin) prescription, and my friends give it to me ^_^
Damnit! >.< I probably need to get a tooth pulled, it's digging into my gums... Well, it hasn't grown yet, lol. But I think it's going downwards or something... Sucks for you, hope you feel better.

that's really stupid. It isn't worth playing one game here and now if it means you risk not playing the next 10 games
this explains why you should take care of your second teeth your baby teeth was weak, but after that there is no growing back
lol i have to get mine pulled this summer :/ im glad i read this thread, i think i want to die they have to put me under, and i found out theres a very small chance you can die from that. i dont care how small the risk is, it still seems stupid to me, i dont wanna die from getting me teeth pulled :/
