Right guys, before you say Limewire is illegal, this has to be closed and stuff, im just saying that Limewire IS NOT illegal, its only as illegal as the stuff you are downloading. As i have blanked out what i am downloading, lets say its some Game DEMOS... But to the point, I havre been using limewire for a very long time, and i have hardly had any trouble with it. I recently downloaded Limewire 4.10.9 BETA, and had to forward different ports through my router (followed instructions of portforward.com, i forwarded ports 50099) But limewire still says its behind a firewall as you can see from the image, it used to download at about 60kb/s, not i lucky if i get 10, right now its downloading the demo of halo 2 at 0kb/s, whats wrong? heres some images: Look, you can see that i have a turbocharged connection, you can see my wireless signal srenght and everything, its downloading at 0kb/s and i have forwarded the ports, i dunno whats wrong! And here you can see the firewall config in Limewire, i have disabled windows firewall, and i have allowed full access to limewire through Mcafee firewall. I have even tried disabling mcafee but it doesnt do anything. I also have a Limewire Accellerator running, thats supposed to be boosting the speed but it does nothing at all, i have disabled that but the speed just stays the same, really low. I have no clue whats wrong. I have tried everywhere to sort this problem out, and as you can see i have tried hard here, so please dont close this, add me on MSN: [email protected] if you think you know the answer when this gets closed. I will repay you in any way possible, i have MSn 8 invites if you need one.
Hmm.. It's really hard to tell. Is the problem is just on Limewire..? Maybe it doesn't have enough sources to download the file? I can't see the screenshots cuz I'm at school.. stupid blocker. You could try running a speed test... I could probably tell you more if I could see the pictures tho.
Well, thanks! Now it has gone up to Downloading From 9 Sources, and its downloading at 40kb/s, its got faster for some reason, it does sometimes do that, i have no clue why it keeps going faster and slower... It only does it on limewire yes, it maybe because my dad might be using the internet downstairs (network) but im not sure. edit: im not downloading from 10 hosts and its going 11kb/s... ;(
depends upon the number of people who are online with a particular file. at certain times you might have mroe available hosts than at others.
