    http://www.rapidsatellite.com/direcway_land.aspx (the small office)

http://www.mywildblue.com/speed-and-pricing.htm (wild blue value/ or WildBlue Select)

    http://www.starband.com/telecommuter/index.asp

Please..any help would be appreciated i don't want him to drop all this money and it doesnt even work for what he want's it to..

satelite isn't considered goood for gaming, not because of speeds, but because of latency. moving those waves from numerous points takes a fair amount of time as compared to hardwired connections. still an increase in bandwidth always helps. a ping of say 50 isn't too bad, that's stil only 2/100s of a second.

ping has nothing to do with lag. ping is just the delay.

150ping is a 3/20th of a second delay. He won't lag(unless the weather is bad) but he won't have a low latency. When I play, my latency tends to range from 6-20 on local(within 20 miles) servers

FYI, lag is most commonly caused by insufficient hardware not an innsufficient connection, you can play with miimal lag on 56k dialup if you turn off all other internet accessing activities and configure your hardware properly.
