alright heres the deal with overclocking, if u want to overclock ur cpu and u dont know how to, then dont. its dangerous (can be fatal), its stupid (unless ur cpu is that bad) and it is tough. overclocking ur video card is a different story but it still isnt worth it sometimes. just get two programs to overclock ur card, 3dmark and rivatuner. just start rivatuner and start with ur memory clock. then do ur core clock. refer to this if u need serious help. http://www.sysopt.com/features/graphics/article.php/3549986

just remember to test it every like 5-10 ghz u overclock it and if u notice anything wrong with it while testing it then stop and put it back to the last clock that it was fine at.

ill go find the card u have right now and tell you whats its cloked at right now and what it will be around when ur done.

EDIT: i found it and tbh its not worht even trying to overclock it, u still cant play anygames with it. overclocking it just makes it run faster, it doesnt have the performance to play like anygames lol. i didnt know it was that bad lol.
[color-red]if u have agp get one of these low budget cards:[/color=]
this one doesnt look to bad, ive never used it but its got 12 pixel pipelines and its clocked pretty good, it will run high end games trust me

if u have pci-e id get this one:
my friend has it and it runs bf2 great, its used but u save like 50 bucks

both of those cards are prolly the cheapest cards u can get that will play top notch games, like i said their not that good but they will work.

if u can i would save up for this:
    AGP http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814133422

    or thispci-e

i myself actually do have the 6800 GS and it is amazing.

i hope this helped man cause that one u have now sucks.

these are the sweetspot cards from what I know

    x800GTO 100-150$
    6800GS 150-200$
    7800GT or x1800XL 250-300$

note that all of them are PCI-e or overpriced in their AGP variety... you would need a new motherboard.

OCing a GFX card is relatively unrisky, but OCIng a proc is riskier.

again, if you haven't done a goo amount of research it is unadviseable to do this extensively.

yeah what xelink said, if u overclock a gfx card to much u will hear a lound noise and then it will be dead. if u overclock ur pcu to much u will see and tiny explosion and u might have a whole in ur head.
