I think it would be a nice and kind gesture for GR to send someone a present on their birthday. Like maybe 10, 20, or even 50 credits. What do you guys think?

With 60,000+ members, and hundreds registering monthly, the odds are about 5 birthdays a month.. That would ruin the economy over a short amount of time. The whole goal, and reason that GR credits are worth more than 99% other gfx forums, and why they are better, is because EVEN with so many members, (which quadruples other gfx forums) our credits remain the top dogs.

Moral is, it would be too much giveaways, even 5 credits.. although that doesn't sound "horrible".. but what does, is that there would be an increase of a workload. And then again, we like helping, so that isn't the big deal. So I am somewhat 70/30 on this suggestion.

how about they get like a single day as a premium member or something?

thatd be cool and wouldnt ruin the economy, though you could possible have people registering over and over again to get a free premium membership.

Well I didn't think about the exploiting part you guys mentioned. Is there anyway to make sure only one IP can get a present? Or maybe that is too much trouble?

    factors to keep in mind:

    - 60,000 members
    - inactive people
    - fake accounts

one thing you have to remember is that the only people who can upgrade a account to premium membership is the Admins. There are only 2 admins minus the Bot. There is no Mod available to do anything like what you guys are suggesting, this means it would create a lot more work for the Admins and if a birthday was missed then they would get a lot of complaints, i like the idea of it, its just not possible

Sounds cool but too much trouble to go through.
