yove all proboly seen or played games like mechasault mechwarior, or watched the anime showes with them.

my question is, do you think this is a task that can be done, and will be running in the future for military or for a sport?

i know that the little battle armor suites can be done, but im talking about both big and small..

    your ideas on real mechs.

ive thought about the same thing. i believe that they can in fact be created, but will take some more technology, and they wont be and gundams quite yet. I would think they they would probably used for war though. a sport would be too dangerous so they would use them to destroy

are you talking about a rc mech robot thing or a mechanised armoured vehicle with a person inside.

i think the remote control mechs would be able to be done but the ones controled by a person inside would be difficult with out some sort of mental control. how hard would it be to move the mech arms and legs while inside it.

naw, it would be a pressure sensitive control area, where regular human movements would activate the machine arms with hydraulics and such...

your basically asking if mech suits like from The Matrix would be possible. They are now, im sure, but they are expensive and probably not extremely useful at current times. Modifications could always be done to improve them.

Actually, I remember someone sold a Mech on eBay, but it was more Battle Armor, it even had a flamethrower.

Now if only the guys over at Nightmare Armor could get the kind of technology to make suits with all kinds of cool stuff.

if you noticed most of the mech assault games, the matrix, and probably most other places where you see these type of weaponry in use is after some sort of world devastating event (i'm sure there are games/movies with the complete opposite) where there aren't really any places of production to crank out guns and ammo and the need to improvise leads to these types of things, you see it in older movies too like mad max where improvision of old things = higher rate of survival, just a thought :)

but leaping back into modern times, with advancements in uav technology, who knows right? :P

*erhm, i dont know if it is mad max or road warrior i'm thinking about...but you get the idea ^^
