Looking for new stuff, gunna start looking now as it may be awhile before i can actually buy anything so basically, im looking for this - Socket 939 mobo w/PCI-e - Highmid - high end card (pci-e) all for ~500 thx to anyone who helps
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130256 My vid card, havnt been able to test it out though (still missing a rather crucial part to my computer before i can get it going) but I'll tell ya when its going. As for what I've heard, its a good one.
take your pick for the motherboard, but for the card, I suggest either a x1800XL or a 7800GT. if you get the 1800, you might want to get a crossfire compatable motherboard though, but don't bother with the 7800 and SLI.
well, the thing is, ive never had any luck with mobos, all the one ive ordered have flat out blown, so i was thinking heavily about a dfi, so if anyone has any recommendaions, they would be heavily appreciated
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?...N82E16813131568 No personal experience, but from what I've read, this is one of the best on the market. Vid Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130247 Again, no personal experience, but it looks good. Total (assuming you do the $20 rebate on the vid card): <$500. ^.^
vid cards looks alright, i was thinking maybe something a litttle less high end on the mobo side though, favorable reviews are also really good to have imo
Yeah, I see what you mean on the mobo. From what I've heard, Foxconn makes some good motherboards... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813186055 Maybe that one will work for ya.
yeah im not really sure if some of the boards are decent, mostly because a lot of them are getting ---- reviwes, so if anyone else has anything
Get this. Lanparty Ultra-D the SLI-D Is a ripoff. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813136152 This video- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130247
dfi make the best motherboards. The only ones that have gone bad were the first batch of SLI-Experts and their crossfire board which killed cpus. they have fixed their issues on them and all the others have been fine from launch.
why the 215 when the 216 is now 250$ after rebate... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130256 you might also want to look into this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130238 the motherboard isn't quite as good, but it's cheaper... and don't wory about going to 8x if you go SLI, 8x is more than sufficient ATM.
