Is it true, that the Xbox 360 overheats alot? I don´t wanna be getting a console that keeps overheating and then blow at the end.

I am getting the 360 in one or two weeks now, but I gotta find out which game/games to get for it at the start, so I can use the Live feature against other players. :)

Actually the newer versions dont overheat or at least mine doesnt. Anyone today that has their 360 overheating that just bought it, its because you are putting it in a bad area. Here are some tips:

    1. Put it on something wooden (wooden entertainment center, not metal or on ur frickin bed you n00b), something that the heat it does emit is not insulated.

    2. Give it plenty of airspace. This is extremely important.

    3. Consider the power supply as important as the Xbox 360, give it importance like tips 1 & 2.

Do that, and you'll be fine.

As for games, I find PDZ a waste. The achievements ask for you to devote yourself to the game (gay) and can be impossible (no jumping? gay!). I recommend (for skill and some time) Tony Hawk's American Wasteland and Call of Duty 2. Rent the sport games only if you are achieving to up your gamerscore and get lots of Microsoft Points because the XBL Arcade games are fun (I enjoy 6 games I bought, screw Joust). Plus you get achievement points from them anyway. There isnt really a choice, but don't buy King Kong, rent it, borrow it w/e... its so easy to beat and gain the achievements.

Make sure you get the hard drive also... you cannot live and play without it.

    Xbox 360.

I got it over Christmas break and I love it. It lacks games, but a lot of new ones are coming out in March.

Hey, if you buy the Xbox 360 Premium Pack, do you also get some Live points, that you can buy stuff from at Xbox Live?

Oh, and thanks for the tips on the overheating stuff, Undefin3d. :) I appreciate it..

OMFG, go to bestbuy or somewhere that has user ratings and view them!

You won't hear anything about overhearting and/or blowing up.

less than 3% of the launch consoles had the freezing problems, so by now we don't have to worry about it.
