[req] 1.3 Board Help Ipb

How do I import skins for IPB 1.3? When I try to import wrapper, template, etc. It says UPload failed.

 

Upload your skins to cache_in or whatever, and go from there. If that doesn't work, CHMOD your forum files to 777 until you finish skinning...

 

I have one folder called cache that's all is that right?
I also have archive_in , archive_out could those be it?

 

upload it to your forum's root, the set and pictures. should be in www/forum or www/, depending on where your forum is. then choose the option that says:

Code:

OR enter the filename of the XML Template Set
The file must be uploaded into the forum's root folder

 

1.3 isn't XML files. If it was I'd have no trouble lol

 

oh, sorry, ive been away from it for so long... Im so used to 2.0....

 

I tried both your methods breakout, i can't get it to work.

Here I come to save the day

chmod your archive_in folder to 777, skin folder to 777 and your skin_images/style_images (or someting like it) to 777 as well. Then upload the skin file into archive in and in the ACP go to import skin. You should see the skin file and be able to import it.

DOing this off memory, hopefully i didnt forget anything.

 

there are no .tar files to upload

 

ask Big_Dave, BFTP, or llamaman, we used to have 1.3 on here, im sure they can help more than we can.
