Alot of kids smoke weed at my school. I am not sure about ciggarets though. I have done both (not addicted at all). I have done weed once and I am thinking about doing it again soon because it wasn't that good the first time and people say that the second is better. I have smoked a couple cancer sticks, but mainly cigars. I only smoke cigars when my family camps in the desert with our motorcycles (we have a huge amout of people when we camp so it's a party every day). :-D Merged Post: What the hell are you talking about? The government doesn't make money from ciggarett sells. And the govenment shouldn't control people's life, people don't need to be babysat by the government.
Admittedly, I started smoking at the age of 13, and that was to be cool. Honestly, at the time I really did think it was cool. I'm 23 now, and am still smoking, but only 2 - 3 a day as opposed to the pack a day I was going through up until christmas. I see a lot of people saying 'oh but why, it doesn't give you a high'. It doesn't. Infact, if anything, it'll give you a headspin in the morning or whenever you've gone roughly 8 hours or more without one then decide to spark up. When you've been smoking long enough, you don't do it for any kind of 'feeling', you do it because your body 'requires' it. It becomes a habit, a rather filthy one. Also, from what I know (or atleast hope I know), the tobacco companies are subtley targetting teenagers anyway. Longer profit gains from the young, and probably easier to get them smoking compared to older people, right? And sure the government does make money from people smoking. Atleast here in Australia. Roughly 65% per pack is taxed over here. It's been slowly going up over years. Anyway, sorry about the ramble, I just thought I'd share my $0.02
I find teenagers smoking as wrong, because why should they smoke at teenage, fine maybe 16 and up is okay, but less ages then 16, i'm against.
In my town they are actually lobbying to make it an offence if a person less than 18 smokes. Their parent will get fined for it. I doubt it will go through. But how knows?
Almost everyone in my school smokes... 70% of them smoke pot.... i dont do either, and i have not problem with either... its their choice... who cares if its bad for you... coca cola, alcohol and mcdonalds are/can be just as bad. Its a good stress releiver, but i dont support it.
I think it's perfectly fine...as long as you don't mind lung transplants, looking like 90 at 40, having liverspots and brown skin/teeth, oh and having a hole in your throat along with talking like a robot...if you like all of that then go ahead...here is the chart of why people smoke: Ciggerates: To look cool Marijuana: Cause they are either idiots, retards, or crazy depresso suicidal maniacs, or all of the previous... Cigars: Because they got hooked in ciggerates, decided to quit but still have to smoke something... AHAHAHA! Are you saying McDonalds is worse than marijuana? AHAHA! Marijuana is not a "stress reliver" that's what people say as an excuse, marijuana is for weak people and idiots, it's just a way for spoiled little teens to escape real-life, and everyone thinks "Oh I am not addicted" even when they smoke 83 times a day... Plus marijuana doesn't just hurt YOU, it hurts everyone around you, especially once you have a 3 pound child with 1 leg and an arm growing out of his head...
i realy think schools should ban it to and conser peronts about smoking in skool its realy bad you know you should stop now before you clog up :S
If a teen smokes, the parents shouldnt be fined, Either the kid directly has something of his taken by the police or he gets a little time in Juvanal hall
ive smoked since i was 14, both pot and cigarettes, i dont have a problem with kids doing it as long as it doesnt affect there lifes. im not saying its right, but its your own choice to make, and you should be pressured either way.
