Do you mean in the system try next to the time? Those icons?

If so, and your using windows XP, your in luck, Equivalent Exchange has the solultion! lol

Right click on your task bar somewhere, then go to properties. At the bottom of the window, make sure "Hide Inactive Icons" is checked. From there, click the customize button next to it. That will bring up a box thats rather self explanatory on which icons to always hide, always display, or "display when inactive" (when its not being used it gets hidden). (Click on the button to highlight it and bring up the option to change).

    Hope that helps :)
