If you are having trouble with your Ipod "lagging" from screen to screen or the response time is low (plays songs after seconds). You might want to think of defragmenting the HDD. Not too many people knew this so I was wanting to share the information with you. If you are running Windows machines then you are well off. It will be found ("it" reffering to your Ipod) as a removable disk in your "My Computer" folder and all you need to do is right click it. Go to properties>tools(tab)> then you should see "Defragment Now." Not too hard from this point on. Just go on and do the same defragmentation just as you would on your computer's HDD. Hope this helps you a bit guys with Ipods.
I alreay knew this, but some people may not. Thanks for posting it. Also for a more efficient defrag I suggest using OO Defrag. You can get a 30 day free trial from their website, and it's way more efficient than the defrag tool that comes with windows
I havent had any laggin problems so far with my ipod (touch wood), but i will def remember this for future use. May try it anyway as my ipod often needs resetting, which isnt much of an issue, but its also just started comin up with the ok to disconnect screen after resetting, and i havent even had it plugged in (and connectin it and disconnectin it doesnt help either )
Hmm...I'll have to try it out. I hate when my iPod would lag when I want to play a track and/or movie.
My Ipod never lags up but im going to favourite this incase, i have a nano and is just memory inside, no hard disk so i dont think it will...
