As you all know, this year is the year of 2006. What you may not realize is that on June Sixth, at 7:06 (Don't know whether it'll be a.m. or p.m.) It will be 6:66 on 06-06-06  Will this be the end of the world? Just something I thought I'd bring up for discussion :D

okay people... 666 is not the means of satan's numbers.

Even look in the bible, it is not the definition of evil.

The number 666 is simply the number of recognition for the impurities of human beings. Humans are impure, this is the way of recognizing those that havnt been "cleansed" by God for admitting their sins. It in no way is an acknowledgement of evil, simply the impurities of man. It is a purely POS (imo) christian belief. Like most of christians' beliefs (as well as most other religions) it shouldnt be believed or trusted as being true.

Besides that, I look forward to having a badass party that day (I already have it planned) where sin (aka impurity) can be commited all around.

Your post? Yes it was.. this thread?

Not really, this is discussing what could happen and it's making people wonder what could happen. As for VirtuosO, yes, but some people look at it as the number of evilness since its associated with evilness more often than anything.

They are also releasing some new horror flik that day. Omen 666 is the name, and it's relying on the belief of 666 being the devils number or some crap. Goodie goo.

It is said that in the day that revelation begins, those who do not follow christ will be deemed with a number (being 666 to most people) marking them for following of satan simply because they do not follow christ.

Therefore you get the modern beliefs that it is associated with devils/demons.

Just like the number 13. It is associated with evil for numerous reasons. Revelation chapter 13 is when evil begins spreading across the land and the true end of time begins. In cults the average break point (for groups and such) is 13. There are plenty of things that they align with numbers to be bad.

Just like "Black" magic. Wanna know why they call it that? (god honest truth) Is because of black people and they created that feeling that black was of a dirty nature. They were the origional practictioners of adverse religions and beliefs such as pagan, wiccan, voodoo, hoodoo, and satanism. It is not called black magic because it is "evil" it is called black magic for the race that origionally used it and their uses of their "magic".

hehe, I study every religion I can find in hopes of finding the truth behind all of this :)

My current beliefs are my own and are derived of muslism, mormon, christian, catholic, jewish, satanist, pagan, wiccan, buddhist and voodoo religions/beliefs/cults.

As I said, I am extremely intrigued in learning about other religions to actually learn the truth behind them (if there is any).

I personally believe that most organized religion is simply a means of people to feel better about themselves and their actions and supply comfort to them.

Also, i mean religion as it is defined... a religion is simply a belief that is believed throughout masses, I try not to use religion in a broad sense as to categorize different beliefs like christianity, satanist, etc.

im sorry but i tend to believe Catholicism is just too corporate (i wont be as brain dead as to use the davinchi code as reference) for example during 1929 the pope signed a treaty with mossolini in order to get religious education taught in elementry school in exchange for supporting the facists was not the action of a church that believed in the common good im sorry (you might find this a bit too extreme) If you need to cower behind religion when you cant find the answers to lifes question then i believe your wasting a perfectly good life that another person would be more then happy to use.
