slicing/coding is a matter of how you want it to work.

It takes more work than simply slicing and sending someone out of imageready. A common thing is you need to open MS Paint and make images 1 pixel wide or tall (for repetitive things) and you need to use the same image on all content boxes (once again, to save space), etc.

Slicing is really up to you unless you want expandable content, then you need to slice it certain ways... ways that will make you want to stranger your template in some cases (like my current one, it just DOES NOT want to be expandable the way i wanted it to be.

Coding is complicated. Well, like anything in the world, its complicated until you know what you are doing. Thing is, once you get the basics down, if you can design templates well AND code them, thats when you could possibly make money. If you find it hard, stick at it, its worth it in the end.
Plus for me the good thing about coding is no two templates are the same so I am always learning something new from each template I slice and code.
