Well a freind recently told me that she wanted me to format her PC and install windows XP on it so I did it for her but there is a problem. I cant connect to the internet with her machine because the mother board needs its drivers. Her pc is a HP Pavilion 512n and I am hoping that soem of yallc an help me find the drivers that i will need for that machine. Thank you in advance.
My only idea would be googling that, find the main site, find the drivers, put the drivers onto a CD and use the CD on your friends computer.
Did she lose the cd that came with the motherboard or is it older? I searched Hewlett Packards site for you problem and found this in the support: Support Webpage Heres a link tothe available drivers for the Pavilion 512n: Drivers Webpage Hope that helps. Are you sure it's the motherboard drivers you need or could it be the drivers for the ethernet card or modem?
well i think it might be both. i talked to my neighbor whos like a total computer guru and he said that i needed the mobo drivers to get the ethernet plug in the back to work
Best bet find the model number of the PC and search through the HP site or google unless you can get a restore disk You formatted the PC and cant find ethernet drivers - Ask her if she got a motherboard CD - Actually HP doesnt give that hm... Try getting on a PC that has the INternet on and download the drivers if u find them onto a floppy or CDRW Check what bones has posted - I think its the network modem driver
