I am basically looking for new bands to "buy", with 9K songs I am still getting bored so I wanna get some good hard rock sounding songs/bands on my iTunes.

By Hard Rock/Metal bands I mean metal bands that sound more along the lines of hard rock or vice versa. None of that constant screaming stuff like Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth.

The bands im referring to are bands similar to:
    Powerman 5000
    Rob/White Zombie
    Marilyn Manson
    Mudvayne
    Pantera
    Rammstein

    Edit:
    System of a Down
    Nine Inch Nails

Would System of a Down be part of the group with constant screaming?

No, I like SOAD, they do a lot of regular singing with the occasional outburst of screaming and yelling.

If you listen to like... Killswitch Engage, some Atreyu songs, Cradle of Filth, Devil Driver, Impaled Nazerene, Dimmu Borgir youd know the screaming I hate.

NIN is not hard rock/Metal at all.
Well...maybe their first album...but if you listen to with_teeth...metal? no.

Here are some band i really like:

    Children of Bodom
    Pantera (classic hard rock)
    Metallica
Dream Theater (more progressive rock :P)
    John Petrucci
    Avenged Sevenfold (new but good)
    Black Sabbath
Billy Talent (a little punk, fairly unknown band)
    Liquid Tension Experiment
    Slipknot

And i would look at some really clasic rock like Chuck Berry :)

I'll post more if I find any.

and i agree with you, NIN is not metal or hard rock, but sadly thats what most people consider it, so thats what im forced to consider it.

How about Demon Hunter? Kinda screamy but their new album, "The Triptych" is a nice mix of both regular singing and the occasional scream. :D Hope you enjoy!

I like Linkin Park because you can understand what they are singing and they have a nice beat but they are not really considered a "hard rock" band.

    got both of em :)

i like trance/techno too, so if you know any good trance/techno artists, dont hesitate to bring them up :)

or old school rock like metallica, nirvana, etc.

even older metal like Dio, Megadeath, etc. would be really nice, im pretty open to music in the rock/metal genre as long as they arent constantly screaming, thats not music, i can do that too.

and yeah, i have demon hunter, they arent bad :)

    Merged Post:

got all of those minus Hoobastank, mainly because i dont like any of the songs ive heard by them lol

Nightwish are amazing but not hard metal. They are symphonic metal and are worth a look since they will be different to most things you have listened to. Lead singer opera trained, classically trained metal band, often a full orchestra.

If you want to give it a try look up the songs: Nemo, I wish I had an Angel, Ghost Love Score (not that hard but an amazing song).
