Sounds a little harsh IMO. Fine the people that post a thread in several threads, not someone who accidentally posted one thread in the wrong forum.

The date someone joined this site could have nothing to do with it. If someone joined 6 months ago, and forgot about the site and then came back and posted in the wrong forum because they were'nt sure where to post, they shouldn't be fined.

good idea i suppose. alot of this happens so more creds will fall out of circulation thus meaning the gr economy gets better :D

^ yeah but so many credits arrive at Gr everyday, so it wont help that much really.

Good rule though, will make things a bit tidier

Considering the individual folders have specific descriptions concerning what types of topics are permissable, this would be a different scenario. Also, render mods do most of the deciding in your case anyway. So, no... unless renders mods release fines for inaccurately judging you own cuts, you will not be getting fined for that.

Its a Mods job to move topics into their right places, its not like members post in the wrong section on purpose.....

I think thats being a little lazy from the mods.

its a good idea, however i think it will scare some people into not posting new topics (people that do post in right section)
