Gateway Computers

    My friend asked me to fix his computer but it is beyond reapair spyware viruses etc. I was looking at serial# for XP on the computer and it said 55314-OEM-3654387785397. Im just wondering if I will need to do anything special to reformat this computer since its a Gateway? Any whats with the OEM in XP serial#

    OEM is just a part of the serial #

    Gateway is just the hardware company, so I doubt you will have to do anything different when reformating
