And I must make up .1% of the Opera users, lol. Pwnage and Ownage... Check and Mate, anyway you want to say it...
Wooo! The overclocking site I visit's stats are something like 74% Firefox, 25% Opera, and 1% IE.
I don't really think it's justified to insult the intelligence of people who have been using the only known browser in existence untill about a year ago.. I remember Opera when it required payment for full version. It was like left: Gigantic toolbar, top: more toolbar and ads, right: more toolbar, center: internet.
Firefox is better but wait for it......85% or anit-virus programs dont cover firefox and that IS a problem.
Fx has about 8 more years worth of development in it than IE 6, so that really isn't a valid arguement. also, ever hear of netscape? it used to be the top browser... Fx is more or less completely based off of it. there are a lot more things than IE.
yep, actually Opera is based of Netscape more than Fx, but they are based off it. and yes, there are alot more browsers than just Opera IE and Fx. From my free software list:
My computer is running IE practically all day 7/24. I hardly ever download patches or whatever. I have no antivirus and 1 spyware program of wich I never use the real time protection. And all that for about 4 years now without ever formatting or whatever similiar. I never have trouble with spyware. Now, consider I don't care about tabbed browsing. Would it be worth it for me to switch to FF because they claim to be safer ? Surely, they will find some major leak eventually, they allready did a few times. And every time it happens, people ignore it and say "still safer then IE" or something.
A quote from that: "We can't say whether Firefox is a safer browser or not," said Henry Levy, one of the two University of Washington professors. and another, "We can't say IE is any less safe," explained Levy LMAO. You probably should read stuff before you post it. Also I agree with this guy. Anyone know why macs are safer? It's because no one uses them. The reason why firefox is not being attacked, although it is some what safer because most of the coding is not directly connected to the Windows XP code, is because the majority of internet users still use IE just because they either don't know about firefox, or just don't feel like switching.
I don't remember saying FF was better if you look again I said "how good FF is" maybe you need to do the reading.
