you could probnably get a somewhat cheaper monitor, maybe 50$ less based on US rates being converted to canadian.

if you want to overclock get the opertron 165, it's only 1.8Ghz but you could get it to 2.4Ghz on air easy and 2.8+ on better cooling

x800GTO is a bit better of a card, the x1300 is utter crap. if you really want, try to step up to an x1800XL

other than that, can't say much, go with defuzion he seems mostly right.

Maxtor was just recently (like yesterday, I think) bought buy Seagate... so either the name's dissapearing or they are gaining alot of quality.

Where are you going to use your PC for? Gaming, work?
And about seagate, not sure if maxtor bought it. I am using a 40GB HDD on my old pc for like 5, 6 years, and it's 100% fitness and 50% performance.

sadly, I have only lost data to a 160gb WD which seems to have happened for no apparent reason. my old maxtor works surprisingly well despite having it been dropped a few times(windows wouldn't boot, but I was able to retreive all my old data, more than I could say for my WD)

How about he goes with seagate then? I've heard those are the best anyway...

it stops the maxtor vs. western digtal debate too.
