Since they are illegal here, we are unprotected while criminals run around with guns and hold us up. It's really stupid that we don't have the right to defend ourselves in public.

lol.. .50 caliber weapons do this: break armored glass such as helicopter ----pit glass... CHECK Blow a hole 2 foot wide in a human body or other "soft" target... CHECK effective range of over 1000 yards... CHECK a .416 isnt that much smaller....

Not that I dont love big guns but guns like the 50.cal and this are just asking for trouble. No citizen needs them. You dont need that much power to hunt any legal game in N.A. Its useless for home/self defense on its shear size, cost, and weight. IMO it should be restricted to military. Reminds me of a program I saw on 60min where a guy in the us would fly 50.cals to resistance fighters in Europe they were allowed on the plane and everything. And this was AFTER 9/11 But the gun is still damn cool
technically, the gun... no gun.. should be restricte dto military.. called the SECOND AMENDMENT. As for self defense.. fire at pistol range, you dont have to hit anywhere important to have a 2-3 foot wide hole in your assailant..
