Flea is a phenom. After viewing that, I am even more amazed that he is a self-taught musician. He may be the greatest living bassist, but the greatest bass player ever was Jaco Pastorious of the jazz group Weather Report. He makes Flea look like an amateur.
Actually, I can play alot faster. I've played bass guitar and string bass for 10 years now, and I can play that fast, and even a little faster, but I gotta say, he's got some good talent.
haha. Flea is really good. he was also in one my my favourite bands Fear. ya guys wanna see crazy bass nowadays? listen to Primus or ANYTHING from Les Claypool. the mans a god.
yeah ive only been playing a moth and a half and i taught myself upto playing take the power back by rage against the machine
That song is the entire reason I want to learn bass  Anyway, Flea's good, but he's not the best around.
he isnt bad, i like him he's good, but i would definatly say he is not the best bassist. listen to some primus
damn yeah that's pretty insane and if you really can play faster than him then that's pretty awesome man keep up the good work but yeah self made people rock...in anything really not just music like me i'm a self made porn star just playin' but that would be pretty funny
i think you will all agree with the fact that you dont need lessons to be good at anything you just need the resources im sure most people here taught themselves how to use ps
