Wtf!?

    ummm, just goin about as usual and BAM it changes lol....

    the @ symbol comes up when i press Shift+2 (should be ")
    and the " symbol comes up when i press shift+' (should be @)

    its REALLY annoying lol, if anyone could help me put this right id be really greatful

    umm... i have a british keyboard, it should be the other way around :S

    Yeah, that's what I was typing. That's how it is on my keyboard.

    Oh ok..

    I'd guess to go to Control Panel < Keyboard and check out those settings yourself.
    Other than that good luck...i never knew brits had different keyboards

    here is my advice, get used to it, that's how all keyboards SHOULD be. Any keyboard that isn't like that is wrong.

    thats how its meant to be. I have my keyboards set to UK and it works like what yours does. Its stupid to put a rarely used key near the middle.

    Heh, I remember when I was in England, trying to find the symbols on my friend's keyboard....such a pain.

    Anyway, somehow it your keyboard settings got changed, so you'll need to fix that in your control panel.

    yep that happened to me it was so annoying when I was trying to add people on MSN or doing an Email so just look in Control Panel and you should be ok, Hope you solve your problem ;)

    i had the same problem ages ago, and no its not the way it should be on a uk keyboard so they have no idea seeing as they dont live in the uk, everything is not as the us sees it lol.
    well my problem sorted itself out, either that or my keybord settings reset itself..


    *no that wasnt a sly dig at the americans i was only messing around please dont take offence.

    but... theres nothing to actually change in the control panel, ive looked around. yeah theres a keyboard option but only to change key repeat speeds etc. :(

    anything i can specifically change?

    mines fine shift + ' = @... Shift + 2 = " <3
