you can pretty much delete anything that comes up

just make sure you created a system recovery point incase you delete something needed

I had this SAME exact thing happen to me 2 days ago. It's spyware and it says that Windows will now install the new anti-spyware for you or w/e and to click here and nothing happens. Yep had the same thing and used SB S&D and it got rid of it. Phew. Happy for you it's gone too :)

it's spyware, not a virus, said by Jae.

If you can not get rid of it, try doing it in safe mode (press F7 or F8 before the window splash comes up and choose safe mode)

I got that like last week. I had no idea how to get rid of it, i kept trying to delete it but it kept comin back. I ran virus scan and everything but it wouldnt go away. My dad luckly came back with some type of software, and once it scanned once it was completly gone.

before it got deleated it was in my system32 folder or something like that.
its not a virus, it just tries to get you to download spyware software.

As Xmaster said, doing scans are more efficient in safe mode, becuase many spyware programs cant open when the computer is running like that. Therefor evabling them to be removed easier.

i'd reccommened running the virus scanner, spyware scanner in safe mode if you can. That might get rid of the "spyware"

All you have to do is get a firewall like zone alarm then you can block the program from functioning.
