AGP should last for years to come but people will have the best GFX cards made for AGP the it will fade away till then im not worryed
you could always get an asrock dual sata cause it has both agp and pci-e. Also rumours are that agp 16x will be released this year, cant remember where I heard it but it was late december when I did.
