"Photoshop can't initialize because there isn't enough memory (RAM)" I keep getting the above message, and I've: 1. restarted the comp. 2. turned the comp. off and back on 3. looked for troubleshooting stuff Nothing helped. I was hoping somebody here would help me. I am using photoshop CS. I am using it on a Windows XP. My CS is not a trial.
that used to happen to me i reinstalled photoshop and deleted a whole bunch of stuff that i didnt use anymore then it worked
well first off read the message and realise that its saying there aint enough ram. How much ram you got. Open up taskmanager and close some background apps you dont need.
you should be able to run it with 256MB. but a quick question, does the program even show anything or does a error box come up?
if you have not enough ram.........simply u need more ram i suggest upgrading. or use photoshop with no other programmes running
-_- It really should not be this hard to figure out the problem. If it's telling you there's not enough RAM, than, surprise, there's not enough RAM! Like everyone else has said, go upgrade. You could probably get a 512 stick from Best Buy for $40 - $60, or about $40 off of NewEgg.
Press "Ctrll+ALt+Delete" Select The Processes Tab >> End any process's that you arn't using e.g your internet (mines firefox.exe) or a p2p programme if your using one of those, don't end none of the processes under the "local service, system or network service headers"
