I bought two sticks of 512 dual channel ram from Corsair about 5 months ago, about a month ago my pc started rebooting itself, and sometimes making wierd noises.

(before you ask, yes my mobo supports dual channel etc. etc.)

When I got the BSOD it was giving some memory errors, so I'm assuming the ram is the problem, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with dual channel ram.

I ordered a 1gig stick, will be here today, then I'm gonna send the other ram back to Corsair.

i got major problems with my mem aswell.. got 2gb atm.. the pc freezes all the time..

for you I suggest to run the memtest program. You can find it with google. Its a very old program but it locates errors within memory

    good luck

Well after installing my new ram, the problems are now gone, so it was a memory problem with the dual channel I had.. gonna need to send back to Corsair.

Not necessaraly. Corsair will make you pay for all postage if there is nothing wrong, you ran absolutely no tests and it could be page file memory issue.

Firstly stick the ram back in. Download Memtest86+ and burn the iso with nero to cd. reboot your pc with disc in and let it run until the end of test 7. If there are errors your ram is bad, if there are none then its fine. Remember if you send it back and there is nothing wrong with it they will make you pay fees for postage, etc.

Yuyp, follow .DeFuZioN's advice, always make sure something is really dead before you RMA it.

Hey all i was having memory problems too and the general consesnus of my problem was that my CPU couldnt handle the new memrory...I was running AMD2000+(yes i know, but it was free) Turns out they were right the old processor just couldnt handle the dual channel new mem...so if youre running something similar might be the problem....

it doesnt matter if its dual channel cause dual channel is only used/compatiable with 939 pin. If its DDR ram it should work no matter what speed.
