Wat Happened To My Monitor

    tried reformatting my computer and the screen resolution wouldnt move from 680 so i was messing with my monitor and then when i restarted my computer the monitor would just turn a very dark navy blue and just stay like that. wats wrong with it and how do i fix it. also was i sopposed to reformat in safe mode cuz i just popped in the disk and started following teh instructions to reinstall windows xp again. please help.

    you have to download the appropriate driver for your graphics card. Once you find out what card you have, just go to the appropriate website to download your driver and install it.

    but i cant see anything cuz the monitor is just blue.

    Try taking out the GFX card and plugging your monitor into your integrated graphics port. THen go about getting drivers ect.
