My first time using the internet was when I was in 7th grade. My uncle lived near by and he worked for an internet company... and one day when I was there, he told me about e-mail and signed me up for hotmail ... my first e-mail was: [email protected] - lol. Then, he found a way to hook up our 56K through the phone line that dialed to the University near my house, so we got free internet for a while. I always hated getting disconnected! But yeah, that's how I started my online addiction!
It was terrible. I remember when I finally got the chance to download a song. I'd begin the download and then leave for like 30-60 minutes (sometimes more!) then coming back and finally getting to listen to it. But then your parents would always disconnect it cause they needed to use the phone and picked up the receiver. :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:
lol, i still remember mine. Me and my friend were about 9 years old. We were in the school library when we noticed the computer was on, and so was the internet. I rememberred that on crisp packets it had a web address on, so i went over to the nearest bin, found a crisp packet and typed in the URL. Then after we did this, nothing happenned, so we ran off because for some reason we thought we'd broken the computer. lol, what a n00b i was.
I was at my friends house and we downloaded an audio file if some guys and their prank calls to people. For example, the one where this guy is getting upset at another guy cause he kicked his dog and how he was going to kill him, etc? I dunno it was funny, then I just looked for games. Can't remember how old I was but I rarely used it for schoolwork, same with now.
Dial Up I had, I remember the noise, 'Doo dou do dooo then static'. First site was probably Chat Avenue
too long ago to remember. i'd say about 12 years ago when we were running on 24.4k with a 286 MS-DOS computer and our access was limited to IRC and local BBS', before windows, before soundcards, before even 16-bit color, etc.

the first site i remember going on was cartoonnetwork, that was around 2000-2001 but i first used the internet in the late 90's.
It was probably at school on a website i shouldnt have been lol. We was good friends with the admin so he gave us rights to view any material we wanted lol
I remember way back when me and a couple friends would network the computers togethor to play computer games. Just networking alone I thought was the coolest thing ever. Then came webpages and talking to people around the world. Good times! lol :lol:
