How is your headset connected? Are there two plugs or just one?

You have speakers and a headset plugged in at same time? Try plugging your headphone wire into the socket the speaker is using atm.

you want to change the sound from coming through your speakers?....but you don't want to hear it through the headset?

how do you want to hear it then?

sorry just confused, sounds like you don't want to hear it through the speakers or the headset.

    Think of it like..xbox live..

Computer sounds go thru speakers, like shooting, music, etc.

Voice to talk to goes thru the headset.
    Is that possible?...

no I don't think it's possible to seperate the sound effects and speech to different outputs. At least I have never heard of anything that does it. Sure would be nice though :P
