My pc is freezin so now and then..

this is while gaming.. photshopping or just browsing..
it sometimes hangs in the windows loadin screen.

i removed some of the new memory to check if one simm was broken.

replaced it because it was still crashin.

now my question! can anyone give me a name of a program wich can test memory, harddisk etc etc..

i need to find this error..

    will do a chkdisk first

    ^no such thing as a 64-XP. Xp's never came in 64bit.

To test your ram download Memtest64+ it will come as and iso burn it to a cd. Restart your pc, pop the disc in and it should boot during post. Let it run until the end of the 5th test, if you have time til the end o the 7th would be better. If you notice any errors especially in the 5th and 7th then you have a problem. however any errors and I would contact the seller. Do you have 4 sticks of 512mb ram or 2 sticks of 1gb?

Give you pc a defrag and some tuneups with System Mechanic 6 aswell.
