    I'm currently upgrading my PC.

    Parts I want to buy:

    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...9&Sku=TC3J-4030
    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/sea...7&sku=A455-1045
    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...1182887&CatId=0
    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...618631&CatId=10

    Questions:

Is the ram compatible with the mobo?
Is the mobo compatible with a Dell Dimension 2350?
Is the graphics card compatible with the mobo?
Will the PSU work with my computer/mobo?
Is case big enough for all the parts?

nice case but get some coolermaster fans because the fans on that case are very loud

mobo has 1 AVG slot so I would say yes to the GFX card, the processors that can go on the mobo are:
    Intel Prescott Ready
    Intel Celeron up to 3.20GHz
Intel Pentium 4 up to 3.20GHz
and the RAM will go on aswell

Edit: Why won't the PSU work with my comp/mobo? Not enough power?

    Edit2: It has 400 W and 20/24 pins, I don't really see any problems...

watt doesnt matter so much, and 400 is kinda low as you should try for 450+, but anyway...

its amps that matter..most cases have poor psu's, espcially if they arent a lot of money.

and are you from the US or no?

The computer unfortunately has no future upgrade path so if you buy this system your gonna be stuck with AGP which is a "dead" format because now PCI-E is king...
So I'd say if your on a tight budget you should get an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (you can get higher speed if you desire), Gigabyte GA-K8VT890-9 motherboard. I think the RAM is compatible with the motherboard.
You should be able to get a PCI-E version of your choice graphics card.
You should consider a PSU that is at least 450+ watts, a good power will extend the life of your hardware ^_^

Couldn't I just get a new motherboard next time I plan to upgrade?

You see with the current crop of graphics cards, the big-wigs have opted to dump AGP and stick with PCI-E so even if you do change your motherboard the CPU is pretty much useless because of the new pin setups on the newer chips and the graphics card wont work with PCI-E.
Like I've got a a similar syatem only its AMD based but the thing is my computer is on its last legs though I'm probably gonna use it until I get to UNI.

What would you buy with my current computer? My budget is only like $500 Canadian...

And I definately need a new graphics card, motherboard and ram, so I can't really afford a CPU.

Here you go this is a good setup for your price with lots of upgradeability -

    CPU: AMD 64 3200+ - http://canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=Sh...886&cid=CPU.611

    Motherboard: ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 - http://canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=Sh...9329&cid=MB.693

    GFX Card: x600Pro - http://canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=Sh...613&cid=999.243

    CASE + PSU: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...1366574&CatId=0

    RAM: 512mb Kingston - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...1430963&CatId=0

    TOTAL: $473.93

having a cheap psu wont matter in this case as its a low-end pc, but if you see signs of it failing REPLACE IT! As for the ram if you can buy off ebay do that because you should be able to pick up 1gb for $75.

Oh ok, i thought it was a bit too much, but i guess cuz of the cpu not being too huge...

Corsair's not great for OCing anyway, OCZ and Crucial tend to be better.

it doesnt matter what ram you use for overclocking. Its cheaper just to use dividers as you will see the same performance of your ram but an increase in cpu. Buying overclockable ram is for pros as it only sees a couple of percent increase depending on how far you get it.
