yep ive read this book to "A child called IT" is a true sotry of a young child who was tortured at home by his mother one of the worst cases of child abuse in america in the 1950's or something the author also wrote 2 books after this one called "The lost Boy" and "A man named Dave" all very sad to read just opens your eyes to how cruel the world can be
I loved 1984....Scarlet Letter as well (was probably the only one in my class who liked it when I read it in high school). Brave New World was very good in a screws with your mind way, and I found the ending quite sad. I'd definitely recommend that book to anyone who wants a good read, especially if you liked 1984.
1984 isn't that sad. But Orwell and the most amazingest author in my opinion. His analogy of Animal farm is amazing. And is anti-utopian ideas or 1984 are remarkably close to what is happening in current events. Though may not be exact, it is still close. (The Fact that Oceania is always in war.) The most sad ending book for me. Would have to be the book The Giver. Its a small book, if it was longer it would be many more times better. 'Cause it's ideas are so true. And the ending is just sad. Yet joyful, i dunno.. Good book.
great choice. it is a very good read and although the book is short, there are a lot of ideas and lessons to be learned.
