    .................................................................................

    Are you serious?

They can be used for many things...

Sigs, Wallpapers, Splashes, Banners - ANYTHING.

It makes the design look better/worse - just depends how its used...

I think he doesnt know whats a render <_<

Ok, You can take a pic you want to do your sig with, cut it out and do the bg or you can use the renders section for that, there you have pics with no background that you can use in your sigs.. like in my current sig, i took a render, that dude from prince of persia you see in there which someone cutted out from a wallpaper, then i did my background typed my name on it anf violá! A sig

So make sure you go to renders section to check out the thing gr has down there good luck... ^_^

    Do you want the truth?

    Because they cover up space.

This theory is proven by looking at large art - the real "shiznits".

    ..IMO.. at least.

That is indeed correct - which is pretty much what I was meaning. Just to take focus/space off of the (already small) signature.

Hey, im not complaining. I use them, but I am not the best signature maker. I tend to do much better under my own ideas, designs.. and style.

I think mostly to make a sig look cool, and professional, even though the render isn't yours.
