I Like The Same Person As My Friend

The story is in the title...

Pitiful that a moderator posts this but I need help.

My best friend likes a girl that I have liked for the past two years. She knows he likes her. Nobody thinks they will be together, yet he still likes her.

She won't give any sign as to if she likes him or not.

Should I find out if she likes him?
If she doesn't should I ask her out?
Would this ruin a friendship?

Help me.

 

Wow, I was put in that exact position in high school. Unfortunetly my best friend told me about how much he liked this girl, without me ever telling him that I liked her too. I kept my mouth shut. I let him play it out and see what happened. Luckily she didn't end up liking him, so me and her started hanging. I never went out with her and thank god too. She's a total sketch-bag now and is a major coke-head. *phew* dodged a bullet there. But in my case, my friend told me he liked her first, so I let him do whatever he could. And didn't get in his way. Just stayed friends with the girl in case a rebound appeared.

But that was me. It also depends how close of friends you are with this guy. I personally never let girls get inbetween me and my friends. So he called "dibs" on her first and I respected that. Didn't mean I couldn't work under the radar until they were finished lol

Anyways if you think your buddy isnt ok with it just wait to see how do they do together, if things between them dont work out.. erhm i think you cant have both.

so i say nevermind that girl, but you do know her for a long time.. and you know your buddy for a long time too i got no idea, i think let that girl go and stick with your buddy, so imagine if your relation with that girl doesnt go that well.. in that case you could loose both, i mean you arent sure that that girl likes you.. so i say stick with your friend, you will always be friends with him, and well with that girl you may broke up sooner or later..

I wouldnt have no idea what to do, but thats just my opinion.. So do whatever you think its best ^_^ cya

 

maybe just play it smooth like go to the mivies with ur friend and the chick and see who she sits next to

but i think it wood ruin friendship though. just go up to he and be like, yo i heard you like :friends name: , is it true she says :answer goes here: if she says yeah just be ok kool if not say :ask her out:

..m8, I know patience is a virtue, but waiting two years to tell a girl you kinda like her is ofcourse way to long, and it might be to late to tell her now as well.

My suggestion on this situation »

If you really like her for 2 years now, then your friend should know that as well, and then it is lame of him to try to get a relation with her in the 1st place. Now what you should do is, get over those damn nerves wich you'll probably have, just take it slow and talk to her on msn about your friend etcetra. Ofcourse do NOT get to the point straight away, make a nice conversation and slowly move the subject towards love and then ofcourse work your way towards if she likes your friend or not. If this is the case, that she likes your friend, and you notice she really really likes him, then you are to late my friend. But if you notice its something like "myea, he's ok, he has a cute face tho, and a nice attidude" then you still got a chance there BUT, I honestly do not know what to do as well in this stage, just because I wouldn't want to lose a friend for a girl, but I also would not like to lose the chance of getting the girl of my dreams..

If it turns out she really dislikes you friend, then here's your chance to tell her you like her for all this time, don't do this by msn btw because thats juts nubish lol
Don't hesitate again to tell her you like her, because as you just have noticed with this situation and all, it might be to late.

If he is your best friend, it shouldnt ruin a friendship..although it could cause a small grudge for a while..

But I say she's yours if you liked her for that long dude.

hmm id say just be blunt.dont "beat around the bush" so to speak, ask you friend if he likes her enough to ask her out. exept for the obvious answers if he is unsure just ask her out. if your as good as friends as you say then it should blow over in a month or somthing
