I have a few questions... 1. Call of Duty: United Offensive is pretty laggy on my computer. What settings should I put the game at? I would assume the lowest, but does that really make a difference? 2. I have a computer with a built in graphics card. Is it possible to get a better one, or do I have to get a whole new computer? 3. What graphics card could I get with $200-$300? 4. How do I check my computers specs?

I'll have someone else explain to you how to check if you have PCI, AGP, or PCI-e. Yes, lowest settings will make a difference, but once you figure out whether you have PCI, AGP, or PCI-E video card slots, you can buy a video card and change them from low to medium or high depending on how good of a card you get.
1. dunno, dont play the game. 2. you probably have a PCI slot (should be white) in your computer. If you have an AGP slot, that's even better. PCI_Express, even better. you can over-ride your onboard video with a gfx card. anything is better than onboard. 3. I'm not that experienced in Gfx Cards, but ask .DeFuZioN or someone else, they know more than i do about that stuff. 4. look up Everest Home Edition on google, or go here: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/EVER...load-16369.html that will tell you more stuff than cpuz, and easier to understand, in my opinion.

OMFG.... you better save money for a custom built computer. I'm not even sure if that model of Dell has an AGP slot... 1. Dells are bad, they run Ok, but they leave no room for much expansion. 2. Pentiums are bad, a slower AMD will run faster and smotther than a more powerfull Pentium. 3. 256mb RAM, most high definition games need at least 512mb to 1gb of RAM to run smoothly. Save up a few months, and you can build a better suited computer for less than 700 usd. edit: what is the version of the Dell? should say on the front of the case...
ok, what is the service number on the back of the computer? it's near the power supply, normally. I need it to view the origional specs.

are you sure its the cpu whos creatin the lag? whats the ping like? and you can also run a setting in the game itself to check you fps ratio..
My ping is usually around 200, and I lag a lot. Also, no AGP slot means I can't get a new graphics card, right? Couldn't I just buy and add on a AGP slot?
there are things that can add agp things, but I'd rather buy a barebone. Barebones include a Case, motherboard, some come with CPU and/or memory. you can then you can buy your graphics card and put it into your new comp.
He's right, you have to think ahead and right now you will just be wasting money upgrading the machine you have, because it is going to be out of date pretty soon anyway. Save up your money and shop around, look at part prices and just barebones builds.
