Hey, iv been having this prob for a while with some games, like COD2 and Black and white 2 + a Few more

The Game Just goes really slow, possiblilitys: sound drivers, graphics drivers, DirectX

iv tryed fixing using all three methods they dont seem to change anything :S

Be sure to close all programs before starting your game. That includes all browser windows, and applications on the taskbar.

Check the Options menu in the game. Make sure the specs are at normal or low, and not on high.

    Cheers.

beside everything chadster said to do can cause lag issues also but since your having lagg issues with a few games I would say your problem would your connection if a was just one certain game could be some hardware conflicts with a game but if its a bunch of games most likely your ISP

tell us what your hardware is. a 2.0Ghz P4 won't cut it(atleast not well) a 2.0Ghz Athlon though very well might.

512mb which is the minimum for most things doesn't really ut it either, 1GB+ recomended for gaming

also, a GeForce 5700 or a radeon 9550 ot something similar will not be plying games on max.

Make sure your drivers are up to date.

Do a search for viruses. avast is good for that.
Do a search for spyware. Spybot search and destroy is good for that.

For B&W2, please, PLEASE, don't go on high. My compy lags with it too.

For CoD2, put the DirectX mode thing to DirectX7 (instead of auto). take down console (key next to 1, the ` and ~) and type in /com_maxfps 333 and /cg_drawfps 1 (2nd's for monitoring FPS, what makes it lag. Higher the better ;) )

Should help the FPS a bit
