My cpu usage is always at like 90% + now and my pf usage is at 2 gb+ (I don't know what pf usage is.) and I can't save anything because of my ram (it says there isn't enough). My computer used to be fine 2 weeks ago but now it has been crapping out on me.

Does anyone know what to do?!

ctrl+alt+del, process tab, go find out what process is causing the problem.

    System specs please?

    Run Avast (boot scan)
and run spybot search and destroy

reformat means you lose everything you have so make sure you will want to do that.

and if you cant download avast, use any other anti-virus scanner you can.
and if you got another computer with a cd burner, write the avast installation on that cd and put it in ur current messed up computer..

then go to start bar->run and type in msconfig and stop that progress from starting.

you might want to check spyware as well.

how much ram do you have? what is your cpu type?

    I've got a Dell Dimension DIM9100 Intel® Pentium® D CPU 2.80GHz and 1 GB of ram.

And the only thing that is causing it is the system idle process.

system idle is suppose to be at 99 if your not doing anything. spyware/anti -virus scan sound the best right now.

bettter yet take a screenshot of all your processes.
