    Hey Kazuya i would love to become a Judge. I've been on GR long enough to know a good render from a bad render. Also i'm a very strick judge so if there is an error i will spot it out and tell them why its not good.

    Hope i make it :)

    I'm getting a bit disappointed (read: annoyed) on how the judges are judging.
    It seems that they aren't taking this too serious. You can't explain your thoughts in just one line. i see this more often now.
    example:
    ".... gets my vote, nice picture and more difficult"

    common. that isn't judging, that's just picking a random name with some cliché comments.
    You need to add more explanation to your conclusion, so that no-one can say that you're wrong.
    I voted in the first round, and i think my approach was the best so far. Sure it costs some time, but at least everyone will know how got to your conclusion.

    I used this layout:
    * 1st thought
    * Mistakes
    * positive
    * negative

    Example:

    Titan.:
    1st thought
    - cool and original

    Mistakes
    - a slight white spot on the left eh… thing. You know.. the one that sticks out
    - a slight white line on another small thing on the left. (near his ear). Also a part of his equipment on his back (damn what a confusing picture).
    - Some slight white lines on the right big wing-like thing
    - Some black outlining on the white part of his hat and on the tip of the left guns
    - A black line on the right-side of his belt and on the right-side of his neck
    - Some cubic places on some parts of the entire render

    Positive
    - Good size
    - Good on both dark and light backgrounds
    - Very original

    Pro Evo Graphics:
    1st thought
    - Nice and bright picture, only sad that her head is partly chopped off.

    Mistakes
    - a bit choppy around the hair
    - some light outline on her left shoulder (our left)
    - some cubic places over on the bottom-right and between the laces of her glove on the left side.
    - A missed black spot on the right “braid?” (lock of hair)

    Positive
    - nice picture that has very usable color, and will look nice in a sig

    Negative
    - a bit large (not in size, but in screen-filling. If you draw a cubic around it, it would fill almost everything)

    I'm not asking you to use the same approach, but at least tell some more details. The renderer can learn from that also, and he can't say that you're wrong about something.

    thx for reading

    no offense to the guys that judged the competition,

    but next time there should only be good renderers allowed to judge...
    it is so annoying when half of the judges don't even see the 'extras' you put in, or make a good comparison with the original and the rendered version.

    (and i mean a comparison other than just looking a the posts in this forum but opening it up and checking with different background colors...)

    maybe next year there will be judging by the actual participants...(through a voting system)
