Not sure if this is frequent but I am getting an error when I try to install F.E.A.R. I don't feel like getting the exact error code or message but near the beginning of loading the first CD, the setup crashes and says there is a corrupt file or something out of the ordinary. So now, I have several files on my computer that are worthless because it never finished installing them. So I wasn't sure if it was the CD's or something on my computer that was screwing it up because the following programs refuse to run on my computer. (After reformat, getting new harddrive anyway.) Limewire, MSN Messenger of any version, Old versions of AIM, and some other programs that are pretty useless. Any ideas on solving this would be appreciated. I may borrow my friends disks to see if that would fix the problem but if you can help me before then, that would be nice.
sounds like a virus to me. I had one that wouldnt let me install any new programs (incase i didnt have an A/V on there and such). Simple fix for me, i just dont use an A/V and format monthly. Its the cheaper alternative
