    Hey guys,

I'm running broadband and at times it's like I'm still on dial up.

Is there anyway to tweak the net? any programs that can speed it up? should I uninstall some stuff?

    HELP!!! ;(

Dont use programs - Most programs dont do anything but install crappy stuff on your PC

hm..its strange but it really depends on what kind of site you downloading off

Have you tried downloading off like www.download.com - Just checking :D

on a router? some router have a option to turn gaming mode on or off..

other than that there might be someone in your area that is download constantly that uploads mega heaps and that uses a lot of people's bandwidth in the area. ring up your service provider for that one.

have you done a virus/spyware scan? do you have a firewall on that might be blocking or slowing it down?

I would check for spyware / malware and check your router's configuration.

You do realize cable is broadband? Broadband is just a term for high-data transmission rate internet.

You should check your firewall on your PC. Most times, the firewall can be protective and causes to lag internet connection. If that's not the case, then there might be a internet connection problem (technical difficulties I may say). Check with your broadband provider for the problem.
