How Do I Reformat Without The Disk?

    hey guys, i want to reformat my computer... i saved the ---- i want to keep onto a disk. the problem is that i bought the floor model and they forgot to give me a windows disk...... my other computer has the same windows i think but i cant find that one..... is their a way to do it without the disk? or maybe somebody has the file and i can burn it onto a dvd or something. please help i will give 50 credits to whoever can help me reformat my comp.

    You COULD just delete the ass of your computer, as in delete EVERYTHING on your HDD and keep nothing except XP then reinstall what you want?

    That's what I can think of without the disk.

    The only way that I know how is to reformat it through DOS then change the boot sequence, pop in your CD and go through the friggen long setup...

    Im not sure how you would do it with out the disk.

    Lol, delete every file by hand...like 10 days to do that.

    you dont. no point in deleting files, your registry and windows directory are still cloged. ring up the company and ask for a restore disk.

    Well obviously you dont have XP :)

    yea, the best thing to do is goto or call up the place you got your computer and ask if they have a restore disk for ya. Best thing to do IMO

    John, he has XP, just the computer did not come with a disk.

    I helped him out.

    Same thing happened to me! Except they gave me system restore disks instead of XP.

    well, last I heard, he was downloading a warez of XP, told him not to, but I'm not responsible for him, I just help.

    lol... im just gonna go to best buy with my receipt and ask for a windows disk, if they say no. then u guys might see me in the paper... "14 year old exploded at best buy and killed 5 people"

    Call the company that made your computer and ask if they have a "System Restore" disc available for purchase.

    If they don't then try to get an xp disc off one of your friends.

    Another suggestion is to just buy XP again.

    If any of the above don't work your SOL.

    lol buy XP rofl, i bought the floor model. i will go to best and get it. they have tyo give it to me. i had to go back to get the speakers to they forgot those....
