    Hello!

First of all; I got over 50 processes running. I dunno if that's much or low...

Second, my computer lags at allmost EVERY game. I can't understand why, because I got a good PC: 1GB Ram, GeFroce 6600GT, AMD 3500+ ....

Maybe I've wrong GFX Card driver? Or isn't that possible?

Well... So my main problems are: GAME LAG + Manny processors running.

    Can anyone PLEASE help me?
I'll donate som creds if you tak some time :)

    I only got 36.

You can do a few things..like post a hijackthis either here or some other tech forum. Make sure someone experianced helps you not some random kid with 4 posts...

    Search for the processes here:
    http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintas...processlibrary/

And you can configure ur services (at your own will):
    http://majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=12

Also, go to Run< type in msconfig
Go to the startup tab, remove any unneeded tasks.

Download avast and run a bootscan test.
Download spybot Search and destory and/or ad-aware personal, update, and run.
Download SpywareBlaster (by javacool I believe) also. Its a cool little program that stops spyware from getting to your computer in the first place. Currently stops 5440 of either IE, FireFox or Restricted sites.

Make sure you shut down other programs before playing a game...

    1. Goto start > run > msconfig

click the startup tab and remove any unncessary startup software

    2. Scan for viruses, spyware, etc.

    3. Update your copy of windows.

    4. Clear out your hard drive space and remove unecessary files. Do a disk cleanup and disk defragment.

    5. Use Advanced System Optimizer (google it) to optimize your systems performance and do misc. things

anything past 40 is typically high, though there are exceptions. I have a fresh windows install and with multiple programs open I only have 32 processes. run virus scanning.

I generally have only about 40 running on my pc. but on my family pc its anywhere between 47 and 57. I think you may have to close a few of the processes as they may be taking up ram. Whats your system pagefile at? You can tell by going to the performance tab of task manager.

Also listen to Diablos advice as that will pretty much solve your issue unless there is a dire issue.

    realplay.exe
    qttask.exe
    realsched.exe

these are just off the top of my head. Like Diablo said, in your start > run > msconfig under the startup tab if you disable realplayer, and quicktime and the realscheduler it will get rid of these three processes. Realplayer can be a resource hog and does use ads and stuff so I would be careful around it.

    a couple of questions...

Steam.exe, were you playing a game when you took the screenshot, or do you always just have steam running? I would disconnect from Steam and exit the program when not using it.

Apache.exe, are you running a webserver?
