Hi, I need suggestions for what you want to see in my free ebook that I will be releasing in the coming week or two. I havent started yet as I wish to see what you want to be in it. So far I will be including: Beginners Overclocking Choosing the right computer (parts, etc) However I am not sure what else to include. I wish to get as many pages as possible to provide a comprehensive guide that people can download so they can learn/troubleshoot issues before coming to the rest of the community for help. I am open to all suggestions. DeFuZioN.
Wow, great idea here, I can see this being popular. Small things like how to change desktops/resolutions etc how to set up Photoshop/Imagereeady/Illustrator, how to cool/clean your PC, choosing a net browser, maybe even show correct posture for using a PC 0_o Dunno, these just randomly popped into my head, probably not useful but eh.
include: what are the best products to buy (gfx, cpu, ram, mobo, psu, fans, etc.) as of now simple trubleshooting check-off explain how IE sucks  explain spyware/adware/viruses, and what are the best progs to get rid of them. explain firewalls, which to use, and what they can do (block sites, for example) explain PS, with the reslution (72, saw this alot) You can use my free software list in the making this book. you should make a post once you get this book done and get a mod or admin to pin it.
i woudlnt focus to much on specific parts as that would make the book a lot harder to apply farther down the road, but some information regarding future etchnology, overclocking definetly, cooling setups, what parts have the most influence on eprformance, that kinda stuff. should be good though, look foward to it
just thought of something... maybe include how to format, reformat, and repair windows XP... I see that being asked all the time. Now i could say, here, read this.
How to install new icons, new styles and themes such as window blinds and those, how to make rar's and zip packs and then just include how to transfer songs from ur downloader to ur music player for like kazaa limewire and those kinda things and well yep
ok thanks for the suggestions I will get started on it tomorrow and then continue it when I get back from a 4 day holiday. I wont be able to include itunes unless someone is able to write that article as I dont use that particular software. However I am able to write about kazaa and limewire as they are legal to use not the stuff on them. But the programs are straight forward and not to mention kazaa is absolute crap so I wont include that, I will include a how to for bittorrent as the guides out there for it are useless in most cases.
Defuzion's right, Limewire is perfectly legal... just what most people use it for isn't. And anyway, Limewire complied to a federal order that prohibits any unlicensed material from being on their network... so there is nothing wrong with Limewire.
