something is odd with my IP Board, and I want to reinstall it.

Is there a way that you can transfer your current members (mysql stuff) over to the newly made forum?

I always just overwrote the MySQL database...

btw, I am using IPB version 2.0.4

Go to your CP...host CP is better and make a db backup...save that file.
Then after reinstalling your board you can import that backup and you'll have everything there...members, posts, forum structure.
If you have any custom skins or emotes you'll have to export them first if you dont what to lose them.

    Cheers.

If he only wants to transfer the members though that wouldnt work as it would bring everything over.

Just for in the future if I ever really needed to do it. ;)
