This is to all the gimp users out there. I need help with borders. Whenever I try to make a border (which I'm not sure I'm doing right), it's thicker on the top and left than on the bottom and right. What I do to make borders is make a new layer, select it all, and brush it the color of my border. Then I shrink the selection by the number of px I want it to be, and erase what's left. That's the only way I know of making borders. If you could help, that'd be great. Thanks!

    Have you tryed this:
    Create a new layer
    Fill Layer with black
    Select all
    Select - Decrease
Deacrease by how big you want your border
    Clear

But is that the way you do it anyway?

I used to use gimp 2.0 But that was a LLOONG time ago. so im not sure what could be done.

Look around for a 'stroke' feature like in the edit menus or in the scripts.
I used to be able to do it without having to hand-draw the border, i cant remember how. or if i used a custom script or not. so the best thing i could tell you is either look for the 'stroke' or find a Script on the web that could do it.
