    my mate cannot open upthe windows task manager he has tryed restarting and in safe mode to no success, what would be the problem?

    Does anything pop up?
    Maybe he accidentaly deleted the .exe out of System32....

    your mate has probly unbound task manager to ctrl+alt+delete, your mate either has a virus wich is ----in his pc up or he has removed the key bind some how. ive had a look around but cant find any setting so the virus thing is the best bet.

    might be pointless, but have him try the following:

    ctrl+shift+esc

    also, start>>run "taskmgr"

    I believe its a virus, download Avast. Do a boot scan. Enjoy.

    Or spyware actually.
    Download Spyboy S&D and ad-aware personal.

    I had that before, I tried virus scans and spyware scans n all that, didnt work. I ended up doing system resotre on me comp :(

    Like all Micro$oft products you can never know what's wrong. If i were you i'd reinstall everything. A fresh windows install, no restore no nothing. And dont reinstall windows over a broken one...

    you can completely remove unwanted programs by regedit then add/remove programs, then finally run your adaware/spybot, or if you dont understand how to do any of that, do a windows restart i guess....
