Animation Troubles

    I am trying to get my image to move from the background to the foreground and well I am not having much luck. I have tried duplicating the image 7 or 8 times and moving it a bit on each new layer, but the trouble is that when I animate it, it looks awful as the images just layer on top of each other.

    Can anyone point me to a tutorial that will explain how to do this?

    background to foreground colors?

    Not the background. i am trying to animate my render to look like it is swinging from the background into the foreground- If that is possible....
