It shows the Frames Per Second that you get in different games that test your computers ability of rendering shadows, smoke, reflections, and fill rate. It shows all the specs of your computer and how you did in each one. The number it gives you is just a benchmark of your entire system. You can view it more in depth if you choose.
The score is fine. It gives you an indication of how good your pc is. 0-1000 - not up to todays standard. 1001-2000 - below average 2001-3000 - average 3000-4000 - good 4001-5000 - very good 5001+ - awesome thats how I see it anyway, average meaning in relation required to at least play latest games.
Which 3Dmark are you talking about when you say that ... 03, 05 or 06 ... because you need way higher than that on 03 to have a good comp ... your score goes way down on 05 though ... im downloading 06 right now ... ill have to try it out. I scored a 6,100 on 3Dmark05 ... so thats pretty good then.

It's in the Game Advisor part of the microsoft website after you run the test ... click on the "Game" heading on the top of the page ... there will be a list of games and you click on them and click on "Will it run on my PC?".
